High prescription surcharge
glassesframesandlenses.com is the only true on-line prescription glasses retailer that can dispense prescription glasses outside of the +8 to -8 range. In doing so, to cover the costs of this additional manufacturing process we need to charge you extra for this service, just like your high street optican does.
This is because to manufacture prescription lenses that are outside of 'stock' or 'off the shelf' lenses, specialist tools are required during the manufacturing process. However, our surcharge is only £40 extra for this service when you purchase your glasses direct from glassesframesandlenses.com compared with a minimum of £90 by your high street opticians.
